Got Questions?
Yes, our Tiny Homes are designed to be relocatable. If you’ve purchased the trailer option, this provides the simplest way to move Your Tiny Home on private property. Alternatively, your Tiny Home can be transported via truck, but this will require the use of a crane and naturally a process of returning the home to the packed away containerised format it originally came in.
Before relocating, the building must be folded, and all plumbing, electrical systems, and fixed services must be disconnected by a licensed tradesperson. Additionally, internal furnishings, flashings, the kitchen, and cover strips will need to be removed to facilitate folding.
We recommend consulting your local council to confirm that your intended location complies with all regulations and is suitable for your Tiny Home.
Proper planning is essential for a successful relocation. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact Chris on 0456 225 088
At GTQ Tiny Homes, we serve customers from across Australia and New Zealand, and we understand that local council regulations can vary widely. For this reason, we recommend working with a local installer who is familiar with the requirements in your area.
When purchasing your Tiny Home, feel free to ask our friendly sales team if they have any recommended installers near you. Our sales representatives may be able to provide a list of trusted professionals with experience installing GTQ Tiny Homes products.
It’s essential to select an installer who has the expertise and qualifications to handle your specific Tiny Home model and ensure that the installation meets all necessary standards.
If you’re unsure where to start, consider reaching out to a local trade association or industry body for advice. They can often provide recommendations for qualified installers in your region.
Proper installation is key to maximizing the performance and longevity of your GTQ Tiny Home, so taking the time to choose the right installer is well worth the effort.
GTQ Tiny homes are not Class 1 A Buildings and may not meet the necessary building standards to be used as a permanent dwelling or for other purposes. It is important to check with your local council to determine what regulations apply to your specific situation.
Overall, it is important to approach your local council before using a relocatable tiny home for any purpose other than as a transportable/caravan or a temporary dwelling to ensure that the building meets the necessary standards and regulations. We generally find most councils are happy to work with our clients and very accommodating of our products.

At GTQ Tiny Homes, our relocatable tiny homes are designed to suit a variety of foundation options, depending on the home’s design and the location where it will be placed. Common foundation types include concrete slabs, pads (footings), compacted ground, or stumps (piers).
A concrete slab or pad provides a strong and stable base by pouring reinforced concrete directly onto the ground. Compacted ground foundations involve leveling and compacting the ground with a plate compactor or roller to create a solid, even surface for the Tiny Home to sit on. For elevated placements, concrete or steel stumps (piers) are often used. These are ideal for uneven terrain or areas requiring airflow beneath the home, such as high-humidity regions.
Choosing the right foundation for your GTQ Tiny Home depends on factors like soil type, climate, and personal preference. We recommend consulting with a licensed contractor or engineer to assess whether soil testing (compaction or movement) and engineering are necessary to ensure proper load distribution and long-term stability.
If you have questions about foundation options for your Tiny Home, our team is here to assist and guide you every step of the way!
